Hosting and server logs
The website is deployed using Vercel. When you request a page, the hosting infrastructure may process ordinary technical data needed to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser or device information, response status and diagnostic data.
These records are used for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. Their retention depends on the hosting configuration and Vercel’s applicable retention practices; this website does not promise a fixed period that it cannot control. Vercel may process information in countries outside Switzerland or the EEA under its contractual and legal transfer mechanisms.
Analytics, cookies and local storage
This website does not load analytics, advertising or marketing trackers and does not intentionally set cookies. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights are not used.
If you choose a light or dark theme, that preference is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key theme. It stays on your device until you change it or clear browser data and is used only to apply your chosen appearance. Because the site uses no non-essential cookies or comparable tracking, it does not display a cookie-consent banner.
Fonts, scripts, embeds and external links
The site’s fonts are bundled and served with the website. It does not request fonts from Google in your browser and does not use third-party CDNs or embedded social-media content. Links to services such as LinkedIn only connect you to that service after you follow the link; the destination then applies its own privacy practices.
Interactive AI features
The homepage includes an optional fun-fact generator. It contacts this website only after you activate it. Your selected category, style and language are sent to the site’s server; the server combines them with static biographical facts and sends that generated prompt to the xAI API. There is no free-text field in this feature. xAI does not receive your browser IP directly from the page, but it processes the server’s request under the applicable API terms.
The codebase also contains an unlinked AI recommendation endpoint. If it is called directly with a profession, that input is sent to the OpenAI API to generate a response. Do not submit personal or confidential information to interactive AI endpoints.
Email contact
Email links open your chosen email service. If you contact Nicolas Gerig, the message, your email address and any information you include are processed to answer and manage the inquiry. Email is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the conversation, related records and applicable legal obligations. Your email provider and the receiving provider process the message under their own terms and may involve international transfers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning personal data. Contact support@nicolasgerig.ch to ask a question or make a request. Identity may need to be verified where appropriate.
Rill & Bloom
